X 3
The "X 3" series was born from the desire to experiment with painting quickly by working simultaneously on three pieces linked by a single strand.
To counteract the loneliness experienced during the quarantine of the Covid-19 emergency, I ventured into performing "easy and fast" pieces that favoring a lighter state of mind.
The feeling of painting with this technique was pleasant, immediate, quick, and canceled out any anxiety.

This series deals with the issue of the precariousness of material wealth.
2020’s most devastating emergency must make us reflect on the weight that money has on our life in global society today.
The first painting in the series represents the sudden collapse of certainties, unexpected and grotesque.
The second painting emphasizes the recession that is looming, how many people will find it increasingly difficult to procure basic necessities?
The third painting is a reflection on the future; what new steps will humankind take after 2020, the year in which the world stopped?

The "Vesper Martini x 3" series takes its name from my previous painting
(named “Vesper Martini”) from which I drew inspiration by trying to recall its elegant, sensual and vaguely equivocal taste.

With the "Nude x 3" series the experimentation of performing three works simultaneously by a fast painting, continues.
I repeatedly sketched the same shape with a very diluted black base.
The disruptive sensuality of the subject favored an agile and decisive brush stroke.
Each painting was a field of experimentation, moving rapidly from repetition of the theme to improvisation.
