"The body awaits." I did this painting a few days before I started "Waiting".
The disorienting void felt towards the deprivation of any physical contact inspired both paintings.

Incredulous Giggle

"The king of the world, now without a crown, through a television screen tuned on everything, from his throne, looks incredulously at what he himself has triggered. What he sees is beyond his control, an incredulous giggle conceals his terror ... the Earth burns!"
This painting was made in the summer of 2019 when huge bonfires devastated the forests of Siberia and Alaska, a scenario that sadly reoccurred in many other parts of the world.
